Strong 2s Bowling Display. Writes stand in Skipper Oliver Gatting.

The twos got back to winning ways to keep themselves in the promotion hunt. Having won the toss we decided to set a total. Jaedyn (55) got us off to a quick start as the runs flowed. He was unlucky to go by a very sharp catch by the Bexhill overseas. Kash (29) joined me as the scoreboard continued to tick over nicely. Around the 30 over mark we were well set with 150 on the board.
Unfortunately wickets continued to tumble and the run rate stalled. We were eventually bowled out after 44 overs for 212, which was a competitive score on that wicket.

Ziggy and James Amor opened up both bowling tidy and dangerous spells. Ziggy got 1 for 9 from his six overs and James 3 for 31 from his 9 overs. Having dismissed most of thie top order it was down the spinners to finish the game. Wickets shared around.
Overall a very strong bowling display as Bexhill crumbled for 126 runs. An 86 run victory in Sussex Division 3 East.

The twos are at home again on Saturday. Another 30 points would be awesome ! Then its the T20 Trophy on Sunday

Bowman says ‘ the club send messages of good luck to James M who is fighting to be fit for Saturday after injury. We wish him all the best!’

Ones to Go Again!

Sport as in life sometimes just kicks sand in your face and from nowhere you are totally thrown off your stride. For a third of the match at the Regis Oval last Saturday the Nomads were totally in the game against Bognor Regis (Sussex Prem 110 over match). Then a 50 run closing stand took the hosts to a relatively good score of 240 odd. Its history now and we all know what happened next as our boys suffered a batting collapse.

Lets not linger but look forward to the next nine league games and a Sussex T20 Cup Quarter Final.

Lets Go Ones!
