We admire Ashtead and wish them the best going forward.

Manager Ralph Scrase and his team have been thrilling us on Friday evenings this season including a wonderful night at Blackstone wining the Sussex final.

However, we quickly learned today that there are serious levels out there as we were humbled by a well drilled and talented Ashtead side. After winning the toss we struggled to get a foothold in the game from the 1^st over as our visitor’s bowled and fielded well.  Nomads had to settle for 88 off the allotted 20.

MOM H Kanendran quickly settled the tie with a 23-ball half century.

Ralph said  ‘we were beaten by the better team today who outplayed us in every respect.  We wish them every success going forward. I am proud of the team for winning the Sussex trophy which is in the cabinet here at the club!’
