Three’s, Run Away Juggernaut of Div 7 ! 16th July 22
Our Three’s, under the guidance of the effervescent Faisal Khan, are sweeping all aside in Division 7. In yesterdays clash at the SCMG they played extremely well to gain revenge on Palmers who won earlier in the season at Hove Rec. Jamie Patrick wrapped up the Palmers inns with 4 for 18 off 4 overs while Luke Appleton starred with the bat scoring 73 at three. With nine wins from 11 starts our Threes have cemented themselves at the top of the tree with 280 points. They travel to the beautiful village setting of Horsted Keynes on Saturday who are coming off a couple of bad results. It seems that the only danger to the threes gaining a thrilling promotion come early September is themselves. Keep going Threes the club are watching your every movement !!! #proud
Faisal says ‘Working as a Unit!’
Welldone team today. Really really proud of everyone the way everyone stepped up and did their role in the field/Bowling and batting.
Great great energy in the team through out the game everyone. Even with their fiery start we didn’t let it get to us and kept on it positively right through out, that let to one wicket and a flow of wickets after that. To restrict them and bowl them out in the 34th over for 212 was a great achievement. Pick of the bowlers Jamie 4 for 18,Malorie Short 2 wickets, old guard Symesy 2 wickets and young debutant class act ben Wilsdon 2 wickets, imran with a very good opening spell of 4.8 economy were all really really impressive.
Now come the batting George you were very unlucky mate that was a very lucky c&b mate u were looking in serious touch. But then in came my fav no 3 Luke Appleton and the opening champ Michael English and gave a great great platform with over a 100 run partnership. Luke an excellently made 73 mate. But a quick couple of wickets saw young gun felix Venter ( 6 hitting machine) and our debutant class act Ben Wilsdon on the crease. Both batted really sensibly saw off good balls and demolished the bad ball while being on the song with the run rate. Ben was dismissed with a very good catch when the team only needed 9 to win. Felix saw us home with a collasal 6.
IN THE END GUYS IT ALL CAME TO US WORKING AS A UNIT AND THATS WHAT WE DID. AS A UNIT WE GO FORWARD AND KEEP BREEDING POSITIVITY INTO SUCCESS.
