Nomads Needs You!
Be part of the team behind the teams
Preston Nomads is powered by volunteers — and right now, we’re looking for people who can help shape the future of our club. If you can give a little time, you can make a big impact.
Whether you’re a player, a parent, or simply someone who loves cricket, there’s a role for you. Our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do — from nurturing the next generation of players to keeping everyone safe and connected. Every contribution matters, and together we can build something even greater.
We currently have six volunteer positions available. Take a look below and see where your skills and enthusiasm could make a difference.

Women’s & Girls’ Cricket Lead
We’re searching for someone with passion and drive to lead our Women’s & Girls’ section. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow an increasingly important part of our club.
Our ambition is to establish a Women’s Saturday League team, and we need someone who can help build this pathway — inspiring girls and women to take up the sport, developing training programmes, and creating a welcoming environment for players of all abilities.
If you believe in the power of women’s cricket and want to help shape its future at Preston Nomads, we’d love to hear from you.

Social Media & Content Creator
Help us share the Nomads story with the world! We’re looking for someone who enjoys social media and wants to help capture the spirit of our club.
From match-day action shots and celebration moments to behind-the-scenes glimpses of club life, there are so many stories to tell. You’d be helping to keep our community connected, attract new members, and celebrate the achievements of our players at every level.
Whether you’re handy with a camera, skilled at writing engaging posts, or just have great ideas for content — we want to hear from you.

Marketing, Fundraising & Revenue Growth Lead
We need someone with creativity and energy to help promote the club, drive fundraising initiatives, and grow income streams.
This role is key to supporting future projects, improving facilities, and strengthening the club’s long-term sustainability. You’d be working on everything from sponsorship opportunities and grant applications to events and campaigns that raise our profile in the local community.
If you have a background in marketing, fundraising, or business development — or simply have great ideas and the enthusiasm to make them happen — this could be the perfect role for you.

Development XI Support
The jump from junior cricket to senior cricket is one of the most important transitions a young player can make. Our Development XI provides that crucial stepping stone, giving juniors the chance to experience adult cricket in a supportive environment.
To grow these opportunities, we need more senior players and parents willing to help run Development games — whether that’s umpiring, scoring, organising fixtures, or simply being there to support and encourage.
If you’d like to play a part in helping our juniors take that next step, we’d be grateful for your support.

Health & Safety Lead
If you have experience in Health & Safety, your skills can help keep the club compliant and safe for everyone — players, volunteers, and visitors alike.
This role involves reviewing our policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring we meet all necessary standards. It’s a vital part of running a responsible club, and your expertise would be hugely valued.
You don’t need to be at the ground every week — this is a role that can largely be done flexibly, with occasional site visits and meetings as needed.

Safeguarding Support
Keeping everyone safe is essential — and it’s a responsibility we take very seriously. We’re looking for someone to join our safeguarding team and help ensure the welfare of all our members, especially our junior players.
No experience is needed — just commitment and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others. A half-day training course is provided, and you’ll work alongside Sarah Corney, our Club Welfare Officer.
This is a rewarding role that makes a real difference to the safety and culture of our club.
