Current U13s Continue Rich Nomads ECB Cup Pedigree. Quarter Final win at Bridges 19/6/24

Our Junior teams have a proud and rich history in the ECB Cup competitions and our current U13s are reading the script.  They are now just one game away from that glittering Sussex Finals night at Blackstone later this month.  Its Heathfield Park at home in the semi final (date to be confirmed)

On Wednesday evening they made the tricky mid week trip to Three Bridges where its always hard to get a result. Under managers Ralph S and Rupert C the boys powered to victory as Ralph explains below.

The u13s visited Three Bridges for the quarter-final of the ECB Knockout Cup yesterday and gave a fantastic performance.
Asking the hosts to bat, our bowlers stifled their openers to 13 runs in first 5 overs. They recovered slightly, but concluded their 20 overs on 103/4, with wickets spread around, amid a shower for the last two overs.
After a slightly extended break, our batters took charge on the damp pitch. With increasing confidence from J. Scorey and H. Scrase, and in fading light, we chased the target in the 14th over. Congrats all, especially those stepping up to u13s. Next game is at home to Heathfield Park in the semi-final next week.   Ralph S

Ralph said to waiting media ‘I am very proud of the team. we had several selection issues but U12s and an U11 stood up to the plate. These players have a great future. We are now very much looking forward to taking on Heathfield in that home semi final!’
