Men’s Cricket

Preston Nomads have a long and record breaking history in senior mens cricket. Having been a founder member of the Sussex Cricket League in 1971 our 1st XI have won the Championship a record 10 times with the most recent win being in 2021.

Preston Nomads Cricket Club runs 4 men’s Saturday League teams and 1 on Sundays.

The 1st XI plays in the Premier Division of the Sussex Cricket League, with the 2nd XI playing in Division 3 East. The 3rd XI plays in Central Division 6 and the 4th XI in Central Division 9.

The Club is always keen to extend a warm welcome to new players, who can be sure of excellent Club facilities, extensive practice arrangements and a playing strength with a fine sporting tradition. Every year we sponsor an overseas player who provides coaching within the Club, under the direction of Steve Gatting, our Director of Cricket & Coaching.

Women’s Cricket

2022 has seen the club take another positive step in the right direction by creating the opportunity for women to train and play for Preston Nomads. After a handful of winter sessions it has been warming to see the enthusiasm and terrific attitudes of all the women training. The confidence this has instilled in the lead Women’s/Girls Coach, Malorie Short, has led her to make the decision for the club to enter a women’s side into the Women’s Softball League. This is a fantastic foundation block that has been laid and one that can be built upon next season as we start progressing towards our goal of having a PNCC Woman’s XI competing in Hardball Leagues.

Winter Nets 2023
