Colts and Girls Sections - Policies and Codes of Conduct

The Club Committee wishes to make it clear that it values greatly the Colts (Boys) and Girls Sections of the Club and is committed to providing the very best facilities for all our youngsters.

We believe that the colts/girls will be more likely to enjoy their cricket and have more fun if they are well managed and receive top quality coaching.

As part of our continuing drive to develop these arrangements, the Club has produced a Preston Nomads Cricket Club - Policy for Colts/Girls, to inform the colts/girls and their parents (or guardians) what they can expect of the Club. This is set out below.

Underpinning this Policy, are the following codes of conduct and Club Equity Statement

Preston Nomads Cricket Club hereby declares that it is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development.

In doing so, it acknowledges and has adopted the following Sport England definition of sports equity:

"Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities, and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport, to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society".

Preston Nomads Cricket Club respects the rights, dignity and worth of every player, coach, manager and parent, and will treat everyone equally, within its activities, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.

The Club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy the game of cricket, in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse.

The Club accepts that all its members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.

The Club will deal with deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour in a very serious manner.
