Glittering 2016 Colts Awards
The dust has settled on another glittering occasion at the SCMG this evening.  A quality event as hosted by Andy Garth the club celebrated successes made by our Colts section during 2016.  All the managers spoke highly of their teams and made awards to players according to performances through out the season.
And it seems as though the club is in rude health.  There has been a wonderful set of records to ponder.  The stand outs being the U8/9 winning nine from nine games,  our  U11s won the Festival (the first Nomad festival win for some while) and our U15 getting to the last 16 in the National ECB Cup.
George Mercer won the 2015 Press Officers Colt of the Season while both Mason Robinson and Toby Shepperson picked up the 2016 prize.  All three of these young lads have what it takes to go far in this sport.

The big news of the evening was when our chairman, Mr Thompson, announced that Andy was stepping down as our Colts Manager.  Andy has been in the role for some years (someone joked since the 1970s) and is well respected by the club and further afield.  He will leave big shoes to fill for the next Colts manager.  Congratulations to Andy you are a true Nomads legend.
That's a another season completed for our thriving Colts vibe.  We wish our youngsters a wonderful winter and successful nets when they come around in the new year.  Preston Nomads CC are very proud of their Colts section, you guys are the lifeblood here at the SCMG. We are eager to not only players enjoying their cricket but we are looking to bring them through to the highest standard they can be.  see more pics below
